Lustleigh Spring Show
March 24 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
SPRING SHOW – SATURDAY MARCH 24TH.
LUSTLEIGH GARDEN SOCIETY is holding its annual display in the Village Hall and doors will be open to ‘punters’ from 1.30 p.m. until 4.00 p.m.….If you are not enticed by the idea of a beautiful display of spring flowers, daffodils, bulbs and everybody’s interesting vases and pots then how about the idea of a good cup of tea and cake which will also be on offer? Your appetite might be wetted by the culinary display that is also part of this annual event.
The committee really appreciate the efforts everybody goes to and look forward to welcoming you and your entries on the day. We are also very much aware that it is the same day as Rob Chisholme’s memorial service and we wish all the family and those attending well. The few of us who need to be involved at the hall will be thinking of you.
The schedules will be being delivered any minute now to members and anyone else who would like to see what they could enter will be able to collect a copy from the dairy. The show is open to all including children who would like to have a go at any of the entries as we have decided this year not to make separate children’s categories. There are also categories we have dropped this time round, e.g. photography, but fear not you will have a chance again in August and we would welcome suggestions for subjects that appeal to you. However we will be welcoming a children’s section, created by the playgroup, around the theme of spring.
Exhibitors can bring their entries to the hall from 8.30 a.m. and setting up will be until 10.00 a.m. If you have a real problem with this please contact a committee member as there is a chance you might be able to bring things the afternoon/ night before.

Finally no boasting here but don’t let weather and conditions put you off; one year I waded ankle deep through flood to pick a few desperate daff buds in the hope they would at least make an entry. They went on to win first! (A first for me too.) We look forward to seeing you.
